Over my years of studying, working and making friends where I go, I have found many reasons to make that spark of connection with a person. But its the smile that takes the first place, hands down. A smile lights up a sombre room, opens up possibilities, delivers hope. A warm smile is all it takes for two people to connect.
Many would, of course, surely beg to differ from what I just said. An impression of a character, a helping hand, a certain compatible attitude, why, even an escape from a near-death experience could add onto the reasons. They could go on and differ from person to person. But you do agree that a smile costs nothing. Its the most profitable emotion in this world of lifeless economy. Its the nature's antidote for all this trouble around us.
I am sure the above words would give you an idea that most possibly I am an optimist. You are wrong. I am not. I do try and make the best use of certain situations, but I know and realise that these happy moments won't stay for long. That is when a smile is a silver lining. A smile from your best friend or also from a complete stranger could lift you up like how nothing else could.
'Smile and the world smiles with you'.
Don't overdo it because they have a saying for that too - 'laugh and the world laughs at you'. You wouldn't want that to happen, do you?
On a more happier note, a really happy line to perk you up.
'Do what makes you happy, be with who makes you smile, laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.'
