I love to travel. To wander into another place and another time and be touched by unfamiliar sounds and sights, just to re-discover your wonderful moments in the innocent embrace of nature. Sore feet, tanned hands, frizzy hair and I especially have to mention the cold air-because I am in UK-all take a backseat when I am in the spirit to walk to new places.
The journey this time was no different. Then why did memories of evening walks on the beaches back home come rushing and crushing in like the waves? Those walks that were once a happy routine in my mundane life. I blame them blue seas and white sands. But did I despair?Did I stay back and reminisce? No. I walked on and on, towards the new place, towards new moments. I let myself sink into the soft wet sand. I heard the sea's whispers, the sand's murmurs, the seagulls' cackle, each of them relaying to me to look around me and within me to realise that life is indeed worth living and worth looking forward to with every single step taken.
So here I am, back to my den, snug in a more refreshed and light-hearted avatar. I will not go as far as to say that everything around me looks beautiful and new but there is a definite change in the way my mind acknowledges the surroundings. I am yet again a victim of the spell of travelling in the realms of nature. And I will be again. I wait until yet another day when I leave my cocoon of lazy comfort and travel to new places to emerge rejuvenated.
